All Eyes on The Song

Song writing is a tricky animal that sometimes can fool you. Most songwriters or composers forget the key elements in songwriting, and that is to make the song so visual that you can see it in your sleep. I think when you write a song you must look at where people are in there life, and whether or not they have need, and use for the song you have created. For example, Marvin Gaye has several songs that stood the test of time like "Whats going on and Sexual healing"are two of my favorite. No matter what age or color these two songs don't ever seem to grow old with people, because the songs where written with you in mind. Songwriting is like speaking life into people that are dead. You can energize a person with words so surely you can do it with a song. The First step in songwriting in brainstorming about your idea. You need to put as many things on paper about your song as you can think of that will help you. Secondly, after your ideas are down then you need to begin to shape those ideas into some sort of content that is readable by the public. Thirdly, once you have got your ideas and content together then comes the order of things. Placing things in order is important to the reader so they can walk with you every step of the way. Finally, add any metaphors that will make the song rememberable by having your favorite saying, or someone elses favorite saying you know something people can relate too.

I am Cool Water the rapper, actor, author of two many things name. The next time you write a song make sure all eyes are on the page.

thank you

You got to learn the system to be successful

Most songs that are made today don't capture my interest as much as songs from back in the day (in my opinion). It seems as though songwriters today think of what a certain group of people want to hear then what everyone would like to hear.
