Image via Wikipedia I remember coming up as a kid and dam near every
radio station played R&B. Its seems like
soul singers and other
songwriters have stop appearing on the live stage. I don't mean the
R and B with the hip hop base music to it, I mean the real songs that made you cry and feel like there was love in the air. Did all of are soulful
artist and songwriters like
Gamble and Huff just disappear.
Motown had some of the best song writers on the planet when it came to writing for artist like
Diana Ross,
Smokey Robinson, and a host of others. Today in the year 2011, I haven't seen any soul singers get the praise that most artist got back in the 60's and 70's. I think many artist that are soul singers have a tough time getting there music heard or even listen to by
urban radio.
