Making Money from Writing

As a writer myself you look to write things that will bring you money for your writing. When you complete a project there a several things you should look for that can bring you revenue from your writing. I will just share a few things that I think will help you exploit your talent. The first, is taking your songs and looking to my an e-book from your material. An e books give you revenue as an author which puts you into another category from the songs you wrote. You can take you songs and make a lyric book or poem book. Secondly, movies are always derived from a song or a book or some form of written work. Producers are always looking to get new material to turn into a movie. You could take some of your work and try to turn it into a script so it can be used a movie. Finally, the use of video is growing more and more if you haven't made some form of videos then you may want to consider that. Videos can be podcast and downloaded for a small fee to Ipod or what ever inorder for you to get money that way.

These are just a few ways to make money from your writing

The Trick Is On Your Wallet

Wuz up everybody, I have been off the scene for a minute but I am back. I want to take a minute to talk about the artist Brittany Spears. Brittany is planning something big and you will be the victim of juiced up media mind confusing game that has kept you glued to the Tv for almost a year. Someone wrote the script for this story on how Brittany is making her come back. I saw on the front page of MSN that Brit was doing dance rehearsals for her upcoming show. Her album will have the best songwriters in the business to make sure she gets a good point across for the album to sale. Brittany to my knowledge is not a great writer. When her albums drops it will sale like crazy because of the hype and all the bullshit that she has went through. At the end of the day the songwriting will be what carries everything over.

Get it Right

Learning how to write takes some real practice, and thought if your not already doing it. Many people who write songs just write off the cuff, and never really use the elements of writing to make the song a master piece. Brainstorming is needed to write a song with no boundaries. After that is the rough draft phase where you start to organize the writing process, so you can see your ideas on paper. Finally, is final draft which brings everything together and allows you to make the picture thats needed to sing your song. When writing take these things into account and you should always get it right.

How To Write Hit Melodies Prt 2

In writing a melody, it's critical to keep your audience surprised. Sincewe speak English in iambic pentameter, it's natural to assume we can writein the same meter. Unfortunately, it's deadly boring. So I suggest youdeliberately vary the lengths of your lines, and the number of notes ineach, along with the number of lines or bars per section, to avoid yoursong sounding predictable. After all, it's your job as an artist to tellyour audience something they aren't expecting. The range of most contemporary singers is an octave and three - theinterval from middle C, for example, to the E an octave above it. If youwrite a tune with a range greater than that, you'll be hard-pressed tofind a singer with the chops to handle it. My song, "An American Hymn",which I wrote with Lee Holdridge, was only recorded once in twenty yearsuntil Lee figured out how to revise the bridge melody, reducing our octaveand five to an octave and three. Now the song is recorded at least once amonth. Most hit "power" ballads, such as Daughtry's "Home," end their verses onnotes lower than the ones on which the choruses start. To create tensionand drama in their melodies, I urge my clients, and you, to go up into thechorus, not sideways or down. Doing the latter is like letting air out ofa tire. So go up and stay up. And although some contemporary songs breakthe rising-into-the chorus rule, you can bet their rhythmic hooks at thebeginning of and throughout the choruses are strong enough to overcome themelody's drop, and keep us listening. ~Molly-Ann Leikin (rhymes with bacon) is a song marketing consultant inCalifornia, who, for a modest professional fee, works one-on-one to helpyou find the right writing partner and then helps you market your finishedwork to all the right people. Song writing Software

If you're not using songwriting software right now, I would urge you to try it out. It will certainly stimulate your creativity. At least I know that it has helped me personally. I now have less problems with "Mr. Mental Block". Quality song writing software should take you from start to finish when you are writing songs. From ideas to even promoting your songs.
Lyricist software.
The piece of software which has really made me appreciate the value of songwriting software is none other than the Lyricist. I know now that I don't need to have a hundred and one gadgets to do what I want to do.
The Lyricist provides me with features like a built-in rhyming dictionary, thesaurus and spell checker, to name a few of the basic stuff I like using. I bang my head on the wall a bit less now, because of that.
Apart from features like being able to organise all my songs into albums, being able to copyright my songs online and being able to swap songs with my friends via email, I particularly like the Chord Charting feature. There's so much I like about this feature, but I won't include all of them here.

Emotional Connection

R&B songs seem to always seem to have an emotional connection to people. Writing songs should appeal to people sense of emotions, because what you need to carry over into your personal life which brings about things like love, crying, pain, and happyness. If you are a song writer and you can't get the emotional connection across to people then your songs will never make into the hearts, minds, and souls of people.

thank you

Writing is a Crazy element

Writing is an element that is strange. When you are writing something you really have to look at all facts that come into play about what it is you are writing about. The whole concept to writing something involves your ability to capture the visual images and put the to paper. Whether you are writing a book, movie, poems or whatever it is the you must bring the element of vision to the writing area. You have to be a storyteller in a sense. Writing is something that should be practiced everyday...

Until next time
